Indian Rationalist Association President Narendra Naik said here on Sunday that the government should constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the killing of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga five years ago. Speaking at a public meeting outside Baliga’s house on his fifth death anniversary, Mr. Nayak said that the conspirators have not been arrested in the murder case. A high-level investigation into the murder is needed. If the government can set up an SIT to investigate the alleged sex CD scandal involving the BJP MLA, then why can’t it constitute an SIT to investigate the murder of his own party worker, he asked. Earlier, patriot Sangatnegala Okkuta took out a procession from the Venkataraman temple on Car Street to the house of the slain worker.
