Police on Saturday registered a case against DMK and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Kachi (VCK) against party workers for threatening members of Desiya Vakalar Parvai during their election campaign.
According to the police, members of Peravai said they were campaigning in Trustapuram, Kodambakkam, when DMK and VCK activists threatened them, polling 100%. The complainants staged a protest in front of Kodambakkam police station and lodged a complaint.
Police said that they had also received complaints from DMK and VCK on the issue. The BJP reached the city police commissioner’s office on Sunday and demanded the arrest of the accused.
