Police say VSP employee loses Rs 2 crore to job seekers

A police investigation on Saturday revealed that Srinivas Rao had allegedly taken two persons and ₹ 12 lakh and revealed 38 lakh from RINL and Naval Dockyard after promising him a job.

During the investigation, the police found that Srinivas Rao made an entry to leave the unit in the attendance sheet at around 6.30 am on Saturday. He allegedly left his phone, wallet and other items behind at the workplace. He also left a suicide note in the unit’s logbook. Further investigation revealed that Srinivas Rao had made some calls between 10 and 11 pm on Friday, in which it was revealed that he had collected money from unemployed youth.
