Police said a joint team of Shopian Police, Army’s 34 RR and CRPF opened fire during a search operation in Manihal village.
Four militants have been killed in the ongoing operation of security forces in Shopian of South Kashmir on Monday.
“All four hidden militants have been killed in Manihal village of Imamsahib belt in an encounter in Shopian in South Kashmir. Operation is over, ”Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar told Hindu.
Police said a joint team of Shopian Police, Army 34 RR and CRPF caught fire during a search operation in Manihal village. The operation was launched after a specific input regarding the presence of terrorists.
Internet service has been stopped in the area.
