India faced England in the 5th T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday with a five-match series in the fourth T20I. The hosts will be looking forward to the upcoming T20 World Cup, a decisive victory and ending the series on a good note. Virat Kohli’s team entered the series in good form, but are against a stiff opposition in England, which is also the best T20I team in the world at the moment. Despite having already lost two matches, India have gained considerable depth in the team, with Suryakumar Yadav and Ishaan Kishan shining with the bat. In the fourth T20I, Suryakumar smashed 57 runs off 31 balls, helping India win by eight runs. Meanwhile, Kishan scored his first half-century (56 off 32 balls) to help his side win the second T20I by seven wickets. All-rounder Rahul Tewatia is yet to appear in the ongoing series and is expected to make his debut on Saturday. England will be trying to create some consistency with the bat, and expect their bowlers to score less runs. Joffra Archer and Mark Wood are in good form for Eoin Morgan, but are not well supported by Chris Jordan. (Live scorer)
