Virat Kohli was the star of the show, as host India defeated England by 36 runs to win the last Twenty20 International (T20) and won the five-match series 3–2. With Rohit Sharma selected to start the innings, India captain was in the form of Blister. Kohli scored an unbeaten 80 off 52 balls as India scored 224 for two in 20 overs. In England’s Chase, Jos Buttler and David Malan kept the spectators on the hunt with the best batting performances. However, Butler dismissed the brilliant Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 52 off 34 balls. As the British were walking back towards the pavilion, a heated exchange was taking place between him and Kohli. It is not clear what caused the incident but the umpires had to step in and were seen talking to the Indian captain.

Butler’s dismissal proved to be decisive for India with England squeezing out. With some asking the rate of start of hand-off, England needed some boundaries to move again.
Johnny Bairstow did manage to get one of the four, but was sent packing by Shardul Thakur on the next ball. Malan did not last long, as well, clean bowled on the last ball of the same over.
The situation worsened for English as captain Eoin Morgan was dismissed by Hardik Pandya in the next over.

England were dropping barrels despite Ben Stokes being at the crease. The England all-rounder revealed his intentions by hitting a four off T Natarajan in the next over.
But after scoring 14 runs in 12 balls, he too was sent packing as Natarajan took the first wicket of the match. Sam Curren hit two sixes in the final over, but it was too short, as late as Swadeshi to claim another T20 series victory.
