Madhu Bangarappa, who left the JD (S) to join the Congress, said that her sister, Ms. Geeta, would also join the party.
Ms. Geeta contested the Lok Sabha election from Shivamogga constituency on a JD (S) ticket in 2014, but she lost to the BJP. Speaking to media persons after a meeting with KPCC President DK Shivakumar on Friday, Mr. Madhu said that he would officially join the party at a function later. But, he started working as a Congress worker from Thursday. Mr. Madhu congratulated Mr. Sivakumar, who completed one year as KPCC President.
