CPI Secretary of State R. Muthrasan alleged that Kamal Haasan’s alliance was formed by AIADMK-BJP
The DMK’s ally CPI will field candidates in Bhawanisagar (reserved), Valparai (reserved), Thalli, Sivaganga, Thiruthuraipondi and Tiruppur-North assembly constituencies. DMK President MK Stalin and CPI Secretary of State R. Muthrasan on Thursday signed an agreement to this effect at the DMK headquarters in Chennai, Anna Arivalayam.
“Our objective is to thwart the efforts of communal forces in Tamil Nadu,” Mr. Muthrasan told reporters.
“Our candidates will win the election. He said the DMK alliance would sweep all 234 constituencies.
Asked about Makkal Neeti Maam (MNM) leader Kamal Haasan’s claim that the DMK alliance would lose in the elections, Mr. Muthrasan said that while there was a front led by AIADMK and BJP, there was another front [MNM] Created by these two parties.
“The front man can never win and will lose his deposit.” The aim of the front is not victory, but to ensure victory in front of the AIADMK-BJP. ‘
