Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan launches year-long celebration of India’s 75th Independence Day
Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Saturday inaugurated the screening of The-Fiction ‘Smaripin Bharathiyare’, beginning the year-long celebration of the 75th Independence Day Bharat-Bhavan.
Bharat Bhavan conceived the documentary in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, Kerala Folklore Academy, and Kerala Sangeet Natak Akademi.
A 45-minute documentary touches the Salt Satyagraha at Payyanur, the life and martyrdom of the Pazhassi king, and the Kundara proclamation of Veluthampi Dalva. Bharat Bhavan’s Member Secretary Pramod Paynoor directed and directed the script-fiction. The celebration of the 75th Independence Day of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’, under the aegis of the Central and State Governments, commenced 75 weeks before Independence Day on 15 August this year. Documentation will be screened at the locations of thestate as part of the celebrations of the Department of Culture.
