The uniform seems a bit simplified, with shoulder tiger stripes on a single solid uniform, with the name “Paul Brown” inscribed on the team’s famous owner / founder, inside the collar. The uniforms also have a reduced shadow effect of numerals, opting for a plain border instead of numerals. In all, they are OK, If the design is valid.
While the stripes are a new-ish look, many have compared the colors to the uniform of the beers, which are part of a similar orange color. Some fans were pinging for the Bengals “color rush” variants of the uniform, mostly solid white with shoulder stripes similar to their primary uniforms, but the single, dominant color was superior to the shoulder-pad color that the Bengals currently have Huh.
Naik’s attempts at a homogeneous redesign have been polarized at best and epic failures, with the Seahawk and Chargers topping the list of good designs and bringing the Buccaneers and Jaguars behind.
Teams are allowed to change the uniform design once every five years, so with more teams expected to come in Nike uniforms in the coming seasons, six teams will get new looks before the 2020 season.
