The Coimbatore district reported 103 new cases of 102 individuals on Saturday, a day after 102 individuals tested positive for the disease.
The total number of cases in the district so far has increased to 57,023.
According to the Health Department, 635 people of the district were undergoing treatment at various hospitals on Saturday.
Meanwhile, 61 people recovered from the disease and were discharged from various hospitals on Saturday.
There were 33 new cases in Tiruppur district, with a total of 18,823 cases. There was no death on 224 due to no toll. On Saturday, 24 patients from Tiruppur district were discharged from various treatment centers.
In Nilgiris, 11 people tested positive.
With the latest infections, the total confirmed cases in the district are 8,493. The number of deaths in Nilgiris in the district on Saturday was 50, while 78 people are undergoing treatment.
