NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will launch its new Redmi 10 smartphone soon. Now, it appears that the company has discontinued the base variant of its Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max smartphones. The company launched both smartphones in India in March this year and now it may have discontinued the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant of both handsets.

Xiaomi launched both the Redmi Note series smartphones in three variants — 6GB+ 64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. Now it seems that the company has discontinued the base variant (6GB+64GB) of Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max smartphones.
The base variants of both smartphones are no longer listed on the company website and on Amazon.in. After the discontinuation, Redmi Note 10 Pro is available at a starting price tag of Rs 17,999, whereas, the price of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max starts at Rs 19,999. Both the smartphones come in Dark Night, Glacial Blue, and Vintage Bronze colour options.

Both the smartphones come with a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and it is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The duo is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor.
Both the dual SIM smartphones run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer on MIUI 12 on top. The duo comes with a water-resistant coating and is backed by a 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 10 Pro sports a quad-rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 5MP telemacro camera. On the other hand, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max also features a quad-rear camera with a 108MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth and 5MP telemacro camera.
