Seagate Technology has announced the new Seagate One Touch SSD in India. The One Touch SSD claims to offer NVMe-competitive performance in a portable form factor.
The drive comes in up to 2TB storage variant and it claims to deliver maximum sequential read/write speed of up to 1,030 MB/s.
The Seagate One Touch SSD is compatible with Windows and macOS and it uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB Type-C interface and is also backward compatible with USB Type-C and USB 3.0 PCs.
In addition to that, the SSD is also compatible with Android smartphones allowing users to backup their photos, videos and files via the Seagate Mobile Touch app on the go.
The Seagate One Touch SSD offers shock-resistance to a drop height of up to 2 metres.
In terms of design, the drive comes with aluminium top cover and fabric-soft touch on the sides and is available in three colour options — Black, Silver and Blue.
It includes Seagate’s Toolkit desktop software with Sync Plus offering file synchronization via continuous backup.
Seagate has also included the Rescue Data Recovery Services with the One Touch SSD that helps users prevent data loss and retrieval cost. That’s not it, the device also comes with one year complimentary subscription to Mylio Create and four month membership to Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan.
The Seagate One Touch SSD is priced at Rs 7,699 for 500GB, Rs 13,399 for 1TB and Rs 26,999 for 2TB storage variants. It will be available for purchase via Amazon, Flipkart and all authorised retailers.
