A palm tree caught fire due to a lightning strike in Palghar, Maharashtra. The fire incident took place in the Vadrai area on the intervening nights of March 6 and 7. Several palm and coconut trees were gutted in the fire. Mumbai and surrounding areas witnessed a drizzle coupled with lightning and thunder. The atmosphere in the city is cloudy since morning.
