Jordanian Prime Minister Beshar al-Khasawne ordered an investigation into the incident at a government hospital in the city of Salt, 20 km (13 mi) north of Amman, and asked Health Minister Nathir Obaidat to resign, according to reports. Al-Rai newspaper, a government mouthpiece, confirmed that Mr. Obidat had resigned.
Jordan, home to 10 million people, has struggled with increasing coronovirus infections and deaths, and safe vaccines.
