Indian Premier League 2021, Full Schedule: Mumbai Indians start title defense against Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 schedule was released on Sunday. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening match in Chennai on 9 April. The eight-team tournament will be played in six cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The final of the 14th edition of the IPL will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 30, the world’s largest cricket stadium. Fans returned during India’s Test series against England, the initial leg of the IPL to be played without an audience. A call will be taken at a later stage if crowds are allowed in the tournament. This year’s IPL will have 11 double headers, the afternoon game will start at 3:30 pm IST and all the evening games will start at 7:30 pm IST. Also, all play-offs and finals will be played in Ahmedabad.
