Mumbai Indians pacer Ishaan Kishan, who has been selected in the national team for the T20I series against England, has said that he would not like to bat under any condition as he would play more confidently under pressure. The Pocket Dynamo, as he is often called, scored 516 runs and finished as MI’s highest run scorer in the tournament. Ishan then won the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he scored 173 (94) in the first match. He was also captaining Jharkhand in the tournament before joining Team India.
Ishan admitted that it is a difficult task to include it in the national team and he is ready to bat at any place for Team India in the current T20I series.
Ishaan said in an interview, “It is always difficult for the team to make it, but it always happens. I have no objection to playing anywhere. Wisden quoted by Mumbai Indians.
“I think playing under pressure is more appropriate and I think different domestic formats, India A Games help you do well in that situation,” he said.
Ishan has credited star batsman Rohit Sharma and Mumbai Indians Director of Cricket Operations Zaheer Khan for mentoring him during the IPL.
Ishan said, “Whenever you get a chance in the IPL, what is most important. It is the hunger and dedication to do well, which helps you get in line.”
