India Women’s T20I cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has tested positive for coronovirus. She said in a tweet that she has given up on herself and is following all the guidelines. Harmanpreet Kaur tweeted, “Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I feel fine and have calmed myself following all the guidelines laid down by the authorities and my doctors.” He said in his message, “A humble request to all those who have come in contact with me in the last 7 days.

“By the grace of God and your best wishes, I’ll be back on the field soon,” the 32-year-old concluded.

Harmanpreet Kaur was last in action in the ODI series against South Africa Women in Lucknow, which the hosts lost 1-4.

She missed the T20I series against South Africa women, following which Smriti Mandhana won in the absence of India’s women’s team due to injury. The women of South Africa won the T20I series 2–1.

Harmanpreet Kaur has represented the women of India in 104 ODIs and 114 T20s, as well as played two Tests.

Known for his explosive firepower, he scored 2,532 runs in the 50-over format with three centuries and 12 half-centuries.

Her most memorable knock came against Australia women in the 2017 World Cup semi-finals, when she hit an unbeaten 171 not out with just 115 runs. He hit 20 fours and seven sixes as India defeated Australia by 36 runs to enter their second World Cup final.

He also scored one T20I century and six half-centuries.
