Major stressors of TTD require medical attention.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) president YV Subba Reddy on Friday urged SV Ved Patsala officials to strictly follow health protocols.
57 students of the institution tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago and were admitted to the Super Specialty Hospital of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati.
Mr. Reddy surprise inspected the Vedic school and interacted with faculty members and students. He urged them to strictly abide by social removal norms, wear masks and maintain hygiene on campus.
Emphasizing the need for round-the-clock medical assistance, the TTD President asked Veda Patasala officials to engage a physician and necessary medical staff on the premises till normalcy is restored.
Additional accommodation
Mr. Reddy, who oversaw the kitchen, dining hall and classrooms, asked the accompanying officers to ensure that only four students were accommodated in each room and that additional accommodation was provided if necessary. . According to the COVID protocol, students must maintain a two-meter social distance on campus, even in the dining hall.
He reassured the parents that no students had any health related complications on campus and that the best health facilities were being provided to those under observation at SVIMS. The condition of all the students under observation is stable and there is no need to worry.
Chief Medical Officer Drs. Narmada, Health Officer Drs. RR Reddy, Estate Officer Vijay Sarathi and Principal KSS Avadhani accompanied Mr. Reddy during his visit.
