Development will not be allowed to come out of Bengal, PM told CM

Saying that the BJP runs on plans while the Trinamool Congress runs on scams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that he will not allow Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to pull out the development from West Bengal.

Referring to wall frescoes in a pole-bound state, where Ms. Banerjee is shown kicking the Prime Minister, Mr. Modi said, “Didi can put her foot on my head and kick me if she wants But I will not allow you to drive development out of West Bengal ”.

The Prime Minister addressed a public rally in Bankura, where the first phase of polling on March 27 will see elections in several constituencies.

Mr. Modi reiterated the BJP’s promise of “Asol Paribortan (real change)” and accused Ms. Banerjee of playing with the lives of the people of Bengal for 10 years. “now Play (Game) will be over and development (Development) will begin, ”he said.

Referring to the recent remarks made by the Chief Minister that he does not like his face, Shri Modi said, “Didi does not like my face; But in a democracy, it is work for those who matter, not the face of anyone. “

The Prime Minister said that fearing defeat in the elections, the Trinamool Congress president has already started questioning the functioning of EVMs which brought him to power 10 years ago. Ms. Banerjee, in her recent public rallies, has urged people to monitor the counting centers even after the voting ends. Voting for the assembly elections in West Bengal will be held in eight phases starting from March 27.

Meanwhile, speaking at a public rally in Kanthi North, Ms. Banerjee accused the BJP government of “selling” public service undertakings and railways.

“People who are greedy themselves are trying to teach us. Look at the number of cars in their convoy. His allegations of corruption have no meaning. Ms. Banerjee urged people to vote for the Trinamool Congress if they want welfare schemes to continue in the state.
