India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is in his home state of Gujarat as he is recovering from a thumb injury that put him out of action earlier in the year. On Saturday, Jadeja took to social media to share a video after seeing a tiger in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Jadeja wrote the video on Twitter in the caption, “He had come out to wish me a quick recovery. In the video, the tiger is seen coming from the forest on the road. The tiger goes back before he comes out again. The tiger finally looks around before turning back into the trees.

Ravindra Jadeja suffered a thumb injury during the third Test in Sydney against Australia. He flew to India after the match and missed the Test and T20 series against England at home.

He has also not found a place in India’s team for the three-match ODI series against England.

However, Jadeja has recovered, and recently hit the Nets for the first time since his injury.

Jadeja is rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

He is expected to return to cricket action for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2021, which is scheduled to begin on 9 April.

Jadeja is an important player for India in all formats. From the T20I series against England, captain Virat Kohli said that he will return to the team as soon as he is fit again.

“I think whatever we have right now except Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja), whenever he is fit, I think he is the most balanced in front of all the options readily available to take on the field.” Kohli said.
