India have highlighted England’s “weakness” in dealing with the slow conditions, but competition here will only prepare them well for the Twenty20 World Cup, captain Eoin Morgan feels. India beat England by seven wickets on Sunday night in the second T20 International (T20I) to level the five-match series 1–1. Morgan admitted that they struggle for a slower surface to be used for the second match. “I think there was a difference in the wicket we played and how we adapted. Morgan said England were equal in all departments of the game compared to the eight-wicket victory of the series openers on Sunday.

Morgan had words of praise for the young Ishaan Kishan, who scored a 32-ball 56 on his international debut.

The third match of the series will be played on a red clay pitch and Morgan feels that the spinners will definitely come into the picture on Tuesday.

Morgan hopes Mark Wood will be fit for the next game after missing the second T20 due to an injured heel.
