NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its most expensive smartphone — Mi 11 Ultra in April this year in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 69,999 and the company recently organised a limited quantity sale for the handset.
However, the customers who were not able to purchase the Mi 11 Ultra during the limited sale period will now be able to own one. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will go on open sale in the country.
Mi 11 Ultra open sale
Xiaomi has confirmed that Mi 11 Ultra will go on open sale in India starting July 15. The customers will be able to purchase the smartphone from Amazon.in, mi.com, Mi home stores and select retail outlets in the country. The customers can also avail instant discount of Rs 5,000 on the purchase of Mi 11 Ultra by using SBI credit card.
Mi 11 Ultra specifications
The high-end Mi 11 Ultra is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This is the first smartphone of the company to come with a dual display.
Mi 11 Ultra sports a 6.81-inch WQHD+ main display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution. The smartphone also houses a 1.1-inch secondary display placed on the rear panel. The main display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and the display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.
The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12. The company has also confirmed that that smartphone will receive an Android R update. The handset comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and IR blaster. The handset also features stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra sports a triple rear camera setup which consist of a 50MP main sensor with f/1.95 aperture, 48MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 48MP telephoto lens with up to 12x digital zoom. The rear camera is capable of recording 8K videos at 24fps and 4K videos at 60 and 30fps. The front is home to a 20MP selfie shooter with f/2.3 aperture. Users can also capture selfies using the rear camera, thanks to the secondary display.
The smartphone houses a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
