Who is Hubert Davis?

Davis, a North Carolina native, joined UNC between 1988 and 1992, playing under the tutelage of the late great Dean Smith. The Tar Heels would win a championship after Davis’ foothold in the NBA (1993); He was named second to the All-ACC in 1992, and was selected by the Knicks for the 20th overall in the 1992 NBA Draft.

Davis will have a long career in the NBA as an off-the-bench shooting guard, playing 12 years for the Knicks, Raptors, Mavericks, Wizards, Pistons and Nets. Known for his 3-point skills, Davis is one of the NBA’s all-time leaders at 3-percent percentile, At 44.1 percent.

In 2012, Davis was named to Williams’ staff at the UNC, with which the Heels won the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
