The NCAA tournament is that monstrous is back.

When does March Madness begin?
- First four: 18 March
- round 1: 19 March
- Last four: 3–5 April
Depends on what you are asking; This could be the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which reveals the initial 68-team NCAA tournament field. Or it could be the First Four, which helps set the final 64-team field. Or it could be the first round, which justified the start of the tournament. Or, for those casual fans who only care about the National Championship, you could argue that it starts with the Final Four.
