The green signal for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway is scheduled to wave at 4 pm ET, but the start time can be optimistic because of the weather.
Rain is forecast on Sunday in Bristol, Tenn. The National Weather Service Predicts “Showers with thunder and thunder before noon, then a chance of rain.” Temperatures will be in the mid-60s and wind gusts can reach 25 mph. The weather service maintains a 90 percent chance of rain.
Heavy rain will make Bristol’s dirt track inaccessible in a second day. NASCAR canceled the qualifying heat race for the Cup and Truck Series and postponed the main race for the Truck Series on Saturday due to inclement weather.
Which channel is NASCAR on today?
Fox will air Sunday’s race, the seventh of the NASCAR Cup Series 2021 season. Fox and Fox Sports 1 are scheduled to race for the NASCAR Cup Series during the first four months of the Cup Series schedule through the All-Star race on June 13 in the Texas Series. NBC and NBC Sports Network are scheduled for the remaining races in 2021, including the playoffs.
As is the case with all Cup Series races on Fox this season, Mike Joy will call the race with the help of analysts Jeff Gordon, Clint Bauer and Larry McReynolds.
