What the 49ers mean for the Eagles’ trade jets with the Dolphins and the rest of the 2021 NFL Draft

A different kind of March Madness surfaced on Friday.

The 49ers, Eagles and Dolphins spent some time adding to the 2021 NFL draft order with a pair of projections and a lot of fun in this year’s draft.

49ers – Dolphins Business Description

  • 49th Received: No. 3 overall pick
  • The dolphin Received: No. 12 overall pick, 2021 third round pick, 2022 first round pick, 2023 first round pick

Dolphin-Eagles Trade Description

  • Eagles Received: No. 12 overall pick, 2021 fourth-round pick (No. 123 overall)
  • The dolphin Received: No. 6 overall pick, fifth-round pick (No. 156 overall), 2022 first-round pick

There is a very real possibility that quarterbacks are now going 1-3 in this year’s draft, with a potential quarterback taken in the top 10. This is crazy stuff.

Two separate deals shook the NFL world and destroyed more fake drafts than the March Madness bracket. What does all this mean? Here’s how many teams that featured in the April 29 draft could affect it:

New york jets

– The 49ers were one of the rumored landing spots for the Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. It is more than likely to be dead in the water now, roasting Jimmy Garpolo with the 49ers and, presumably, selecting a quarterback in the 2021 draft.

– With the 49ers jumping to No. 3 overall, it’s hard to believe GM John Lynch didn’t speak with Jets GM Joe Douglas, at least for No. 2. The fact that a deal cannot be done means that New York clearly keeps its eye on a specific player at No. 2 – likely a quarterback as well.

– Anyone looking to trade at Jet No. 2 means that a deal starts with a minimum, two firsts and a lot more, given that the market was determined when the Dolphins took their spots Did business from 49th. . Expect Jet to pick up the stick and a QB there.

Miami dolphins

– The Dolphins trade back at No. 12 (and then up to No. 6) to tell you that the team is pretty much sold at quarterback Tua Tagovelloa. There was some speculation that the passerby, entering his second year, was in danger with the No. 3 pick for Deshon Watson. Sexual harassment allegations seem to silence any and all Watson trade rumors.

– A move to No. 6 tells us that the Dolphins are still within quarterback’s reach, but are more likely to keep an eye on a big-time offensive weapon for Tua in the draft. Should they stay at number 6, there is a good chance Ja’Marr Chase, Devanta smith or Kyle pit Will have to move there, giving the Miami offense another dimension as they continue to help Tagovailoa grow.

San francisco 49ers

– Make no mistake, dropping two future No. 1 picks and one third-rounder means that the draft has 49ers showing up at quarterback. If you are not then they are assets you do not give. At number 3, there may be some enticing options available to San Francisco: BYU Passer Zach Wilson, Ohio State’s Justin fields, Alabama QB Mac jones And the state of North Dakota Tray lance All can be on board there, depending on who goes 1-2 in the Jaguars and Jets.

– Together Jones, Lance And Wilson Already after his pro days, it could mean the 49ers could see one of those quarterbacks at No. 3. Fields’ workout is scheduled for March 30.

– what does it mean Jimmy Garrappolo? May be nothing. Some reports indicate that the 49ers have no current plans to trade Jimmy GQ, although plans in the NFL mean as much as a screen door on a submarine.

– San Francisco is likely to be very good in the immediate future again, dropping two first-round players. It makes sense, one year after reaching the Super Bowl, that the team was absolutely devastated by injuries.

Philadelphia Eagles

– Going back to No. 12 and netting a first-round pick in 2022 is good value for the Eagles, but it is likely that they will be taken out of the race for the top QB.

– Philadelphia was reportedly considering trading up to number 3 only if it was meant to be Zach Wilson Was on board. Okay, with a trade down, it could suggest that the Eagles believe Wilson will be off the board from Pick 3, with The jet Most likely.

Atlanta Falcons

– With the QBs possibly going No. 1, 2 and 3 in the NFL Draft, the Falcons and No. 4 picks become exceptionally interesting. While some reports suggested that the Falcons are looking at QB, the reorganization deal Matt ryan Chances are the Falcons are looking to add some more help to win now with Ryan.

– New head coach Arthur smith Made Derrick Henry the engine of the Titans’ crime. The Falcons should have an offer to consider for a trade, which depends on who wants to jump for the fourth-best QB on the teams draft board.

Carolina Panthers

Justin fields Sounds like something of a forgotten man in the shuffle in the draft. He was once considered the consensus No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now he is downing a few pegs after an uneven 2020 season. Can the Panthers, who were reportedly shopping Teddy Bridgewater, end up with Fields at No. 8? This is still a possibility, if even a stretch.

– The Panthers may also find their way to No. 5 (Bengals), but it will require creativity and a lot of hope that the quarterback of choice is on the pick. This is a risky game to play, but the class is much deeper this year.
