Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee went to her residence in Kalighat to issue the manifesto in the afternoon.
The Trinamool Congress stopped it from releasing its manifesto for the upcoming elections in West Bengal on March 10, following the alleged attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, party leaders said.
Ms. Banerjee, the chairperson of the party, was scheduled to issue the manifesto in the afternoon at her residence in Kalighat.
“The declaration has been postponed for the present. It will be released after Mamta Banerjee recovers and returns home. Although our manifesto is ready, there is no question of releasing it without it. ‘
The Chief Minister is currently under treatment at Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital for injuries to his left leg, waist, shoulder and neck.
She alleged on the evening of March 10 that during her campaign in Nandigram, she was attacked by four-five men who pushed her, besides the explosion at her car door, injuring her.
On March 5, Ms. Banerjee released a list of 291 party candidates.
Voting will be held in eight phases in West Bengal from 27 March. The votes will be counted on 2 May.
