The party tries to match Trinamool’s c-mother canteen’s promises and conditional cash transfers for school-going girls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday announced 33% reservation for women in government jobs under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and allocation of Rs.75,000 to 75 lakh farmers under the West Bengal Assembly Elections in its manifesto on Sunday Promised.

Releasing the party’s manifesto titled “Sonar Bangla Sonkolpo Potro 2021”, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the manifesto is “a vision to realize the party’s slogan of Sonar Bangla (Golden Bengal)”.

With 33% reservation for women in government jobs, the BJP has given free education to girls from kindergarten to post-graduation, free rides for women in public transport and for school going girls in Class VI, IX, XI and XII Promised to provide free education. The declaration promised only nine women battalions and three battalions under the State Reserve Police Force. The Trinamool Congress has a conditional cash transfer scheme for school going girls called Kanyashree Yojana, which has received international acclaim.

Mr. Shah promised the implementation of the CAA at the first cabinet meeting of the BJP government in West Bengal. The BJP had promised to implement the CAA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and after the bill was passed in Parliament in the same year. During the election campaign, the BJP leadership including Mr. Shah has ensured that the rules for CAA are being followed and the Act will be implemented after completion of immunization for COVID-19.

Welfare scheme for refugees

“The refugees who came to the state 70 years ago are still waiting for their rights. We will implement the CAA in the first cabinet of the BJP government. Under the CM Refugee Welfare Scheme, 10,000 10,000 will be given to each of the refugee families for the next five years, ”said Shah. CAA matu is an emotional issue for Hindu refugees who migrated from Bangladesh. Matua can affect the election results in 40 of the 294 seats in West Bengal.

Mr. Shah also promised to introduce Ayushman Bharat in the first cabinet when the BJP came to power. The Home Minister said that the BJP government will ensure that there is zero infiltration at the border and the fencing of the border is assured.

Speaking at the launch of the party’s manifesto, the home minister blamed the Trinamool Congress government’s “black period of misrule” for low development indicators in the state. Accusing the Trinamool Congress of indulging in appeasement politics, Mr. Shah said that when the BJP comes to power, citizens will not have to approach the courts to conduct Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja.

The BJP also promises 6,000 per year for fishermen. The manifesto also promises Annapurna canteens across the state where subsidized food is promised 5 times a day. A similar announcement of “Maa Canteen” was made in the manifesto of the Trinamool Congress to provide cooked food at 55.

In a 62-page document, the BJP promised to set up a “Sonar Bangla Economic Revival Task Force” for industrialization and the inception of the Institute Tagore Award and the Satyajit Ray Award, which recognized excellence. Mr. Shah promised anti-corruption help under the Chief Minister’s Office. It also promised to constitute a task force to deal with extinction and to investigate irregularities in relief distribution for cyclones like Amphon and Bulbul.

The Trinamool Congress raised the issue that the manifesto was issued in Hindi and not in Bengali. “For the first time, a non-Bengali released a manifesto for Bengal as @ BJP4Bengal did not have a single son of clay to do so.
