Germany midfielder Ilkke Gundogan on Wednesday expressed his disappointment with the 2–1 defeat in North Macedonia, insisting that such an outcome could not be allowed.
Gundogan scored from the spot in the second half to equalize against the visitors in the World Cup qualifier, but Elgif Elmas made the winner the 2014 World Cup champion in the 85th minute.
It was Germany’s first defeat in a World Cup qualifier after losing 5–1 to England in September 2001.

Schweinsteiger believes that Germany may lose more
My respect to North Macedonia, ominous penalty against them, clear penalty not given and these people won their game against the 4 time world champion. Chapeau #GERMKD
