Washington Sundar thanks Anand Mahindra for a “great gift”

The all-rounder expressed his gratitude to industrialist Anand Mahindra on Tuesday when he presented SUVs to some of the new heroes of the Indian cricket teams from the Test series in Australia. After losing the first Test in Adelaide in a spectacular manner, India lost a major part of their squad to injuries following the departure of captain Virat Kohli as the series continued. However, new and young stars were born, as India opened their way to win the series 2–1. The final match at Gaba saw a bowling attack by India in which Mohammad Siraj made his country debut in the Test in the second match of the series.

As India won a notable victory in Brisbane, which is considered the fortress of Australia, Anand Mahindra promised to gift the SUV to six new stars.

Washington Sundar shared a photo with his new car on Tuesday and wrote “Much gratitude to Mr. @anandmahindra for this wonderful gift and all the encouragement you give us young.”

“I am sure your support will inspire many people to the game and bring more appreciation to our country! Many thanks and best regards,” he said.

Washington Sundar made a dream debut in Gaba. In Australia’s first innings, Sundar batted with Steve Smith and Marnus Lebuschgane. His first three overs in Test cricket were Maiden – all bowled to Steve Smith. On the first ball of his fourth over, Smith caught a short midwicket as he completed leg trap completely.

He went on to dismiss Cameron Green and Nathan Lyon as he took three wickets.
