Vistara to expand gate-to-gate goods delivery service in Hyderabad, Bangalore

Vistara plans to expand its gate-to-gate baggage delivery service, under which check-in baggage is taken from the passenger’s home prior to travel and to specific flights connecting Hyderabad and Bangalore, their last place of residence. Is delivered at.

The airline began the pilot phase of the service on March 13 in partnership with luggage transfer company CarterX on its Delhi-Mumbai flights, its spokesperson said in a statement.

“Basis customer feedback and many other comments, we plan to progressively introduce this service in other markets as well. Hyderabad and Bangalore are already in the pipeline for Phase 2 of launching this service,” the spokesperson said.

It has not been decided which flights from Hyderabad and Bengaluru will be in 2 phases.

Under this service, goods are collected from customers’ doors, every piece of luggage is cleaned and packaged in double-layer, tamper-proof packing material, the spokesperson noted. “Every movement of goods is monitored and we ensure that they are safely transported to their final destination. The spokesperson said that the pickup and delivery of the goods are completely contactless, all the time the transfer wear workers wear PPE and the transport vehicles are duly cleaned.
