If you want to watch some of the most talked-about shows on Sky …but have been holding off because of the cost of the satellite telly bundles, you can now tune-in for £1. Yes, really. While prices for Sky Q start from £25 a month, the satellite telly firm’s contract-free streaming option NOW (formerly NOW TV) is offering an introductory deal that unlocks some of the biggest on-demand boxsets and exclusive channels for a ludicrously low price.
And that’s not all. The blockbuster new deal even includes NOW’s Boost add-on, which upgrades your streaming quality to High Definition and lets you watch on multiple devices at the same time, so you can catch up on a boxset on the train to work in the morning, while family members are watching on the telly at home.
For £1, this incredible NOW deal unlocks access to the Entertainment Membership. This includes some of the biggest exclusive channels available on Sky Q, including Sky Atlantic, which shows the most talked-about dramas imported from the United States, like Mare Of Easstown, Little Big Lies, The Undoing, Game Of Thrones, The Wire, The Nevers, and more. The Entertainment Membership also bundles Sky Max, Sky Showcase, Sky Witness, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky History, Sky Nature, Gold, Sky Crime, Comedy Central, Sky Arts, MTV, Nat Geo and SyFy.
Since Sky took the decision to disband its specific bundle of channels for younger viewers, you’ll also get a truckload of children’s channels as part of the Entertainment Membership too, including Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Nickleodeon, Cartoonito, Nick Jr and Nicktoons.
NOW’s £1 deal expires September 30. If you sign-up before the deadline, you’ll be able to binge boxsets and watch live channels throughout October in HD for £1. If you decide to stick around at the end of the month, your plan will revert to its usual price of £4.99 per month.
NOW is available on a wide range of streaming devices – from Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV – video game consoles and is found in the App Stores preinstalled with some of the most popular Smart TV brands. There are also apps available on iPhone, iPad and Android for those who want to watch on-the-move or stream from a tablet at home. There should be no shortage of options …but if you’re struggling to tune-in, there are NOW-branded set-top boxes available from the supplier too.
If you’d rather watch on a Sky Q box, with the added extras brought about by that hardware (including the ability to watch in 4K HDR, record more than six live shows broadcast simultaneously, and check Sky Sports with the on-screen app side-by-side with another show, to name a few) the satellite broadcaster is currently offering the same bundle of channels found in NOW’s Entertainment Membership with complete access to Netflix’s catalogue of shows and movies for £25 a month.
It’s also worth noting that NOW has a number of other deals to look out for. Although none of these are quite as jaw-droppingly cheap as the £1 plan above, there are some great savings to be found here. Sky’s NOW has dropped the complete bundle of Sky Sports channels to just £25 a month for the next three months. This package usually costs £33.99, so there’s a decent saving to be made for those who want to tune-in to the latest sports fixtures.
