Thousands of devotees gathered at the Bhramramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam on every road and parts of Telangana in Rayalaseema districts on Thursday.

People were waiting for Prabdhasavam on a hot summer afternoon with an exhaled breath in which the deities were carried on a charmingly decorated Prabha in the streets surrounding the temple complex. Executive Officer Karanam S. Rama Rao led the procession as the Ved pandits sang hymns and performed rituals by sitting on a sleek chariot.
Devotees took a holy dip in Pushkarini and Krishna river at several places around the temple city before entering the temple on Mahashivaratri.
The security guards kept a close watch on the bathing ghats and the steps from where the devotees used to come with the children and rode for several kilometers up the hills.

Thakur appeared with his wife on Thursday afternoon. Superintendent of Police Fekreppa Kaginelli, who was posted at Srisailam to monitor law and order, accompanied the VIP to the temple.
