This t-shirt has a better itinerary than your trip. But, don’t mind …

To capture the travel essence of 2020, Siddhant Agarwal is sending the same T-shirt to 13 cities across five continents. This is Project Hope.

“It’s fun to track solo T-shirt trips around the world,” Siddhant Agarwal admits, “It’s like how we tracked our friends or family’s flights before the epidemic.” Sidhant is the founder of Project Hope, an initiative that sends the same t-shirt (as well as design stencils) around the world – as if to say, travel is possible, even in these awkward times.

Like many of us during the epidemic, the principle missed traveling. The 25-year-old event manager and content producer has been working from home for most of the time since 2020, often staring out the window of his Delhi home wondering how everything will finally return to normal.

The reality was affected when the restrictions were relaxed a few months later, but during the epidemic he and his comrades were asked to go on unpaid leave, an unfortunate reality for millions of employees across the country. He stayed at Shahjahanpur near Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. “This was when an event was not happening and no one needed an event manager,” he says on the phone. “Then I had an anxiety attack.”

This moment of desperation ignited the idea of Project Hope, which Siddhant says, “One of my strongest times, one unbroken.” I felt that if I could overcome any darkness, anyone could. “Similar to the Million Dollar Man stickers that can be found in unexpected places around the world, he hopes that the T-shirt can ease people around the world a little bit in their anxiety.”

Talking about the design of the T-shirt, Siddhant says, “It has to be recognizable as well as minimal, and also open to interpretation. I have always been known to wear a black T-shirt among my friends so I decided on that color for Project Hope for a personal touch. For Logos, I encountered two parentheses to express both darkness and hope. I also courier some of the logo design stencils as it is not wise to ask people to wear the same shirt. In this way, they can paint the logo on their own black tees. “In addition, Siddhant lovingly called the T-shirt as ‘he’ to give the garment a vibrant personality.

Who is involved?

Taking advantage of its network of content creators, Sidhant is collaborating with international vloggers to turn Project Hope into a mini movie fest. Vloggers who became part of Project Hope include Gabriel Seo (Singapore), Jack Lo Chiu Pung (Hong Kong), Nonaka Takashi (Tokyo), Chris Baltazar (Hollywood, Los Angeles), Malakai (New York City) and Brandon Royce (Canmore, Canada). These Vulgars also differ in their lifestyles: a free-climber, a skateboarder, a Parker artist, a graffiti artist, a buscar, a free-style rapper, and an Alpine climber.

He elaborates, “Every time a producer gets a T-shirt, they shoot one and make it a day’s wog in their lives during the epidemic while wearing it. People don’t know what life is in those cities at the moment Can see; some are empty and some are going on as usual. You can also see how the material producers’ lives were affected by the epidemic. Each short-film is personal, but they all convey the same message of hope. We do. ”

Other places on the itinerary include London, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Cape Town and Mumbai – the world’s cultural capitals. At the moment, the T-shirt is in New York City, where it arrived last week. Getting a career was no small feat; The T-shirt took 25 days to reach Singapore from Delhi. “I couldn’t go to Project Hope, but keeping in mind a specific schedule, but fortunately DHL were eager to help on this project,” he explains, “I need to interact with vloggers in this way The opportunity I could not get is earlier. Each of them was very keen to participate in it. ”

The theory concludes that there is no financial benefit from Project Hope, nor should it be; He considers tomorrow more secure and strong.
