This new edition of Samsung smartwatch costs more than Rs 5 lakhs – morningtidings

NEW DELHI: Samsung launched its latest Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch series last month along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. During the same event, the company also unveiled the Thom Browne Editions of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Watch 4. The company has now launched the Thom Browne Edition of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition comes with a price tag of $800 (Rs 5,88,984). The company is offering three Thom Browne wrist straps and chargers with Thom Browne tri-colour stripes with the sales box. This new edition of Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is plated with rhodium which offers a shiny finish to the wearable. The device also comes equipped with five preloaded Thom Browne watch faces. This edition of the smartwatch comes in only one variant of 42mm size with Bluetooth.

The company has also said that the Thom Browne Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be available only in limited quantities and can be purchased from Samsung’s website starting September 29.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic specifications
The smartwatch comes with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 396×396 pixel resolution. The Always On Display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The wearable comes with BioActive Sensor, which according to the company is a 3-in-1 sensor that uses a single chip to precisely run three health sensors — Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. This means that this sensor will be able to make the Galaxy 4 series monitor blood pressure, detect irregular heartbeat and measure blood oxygen levels.
The smartwatch also comes with support to measure the Body Composition measurement tool gives users a deeper understanding of their general health and fitness, with key measurements like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage. Other than this, the device can also keep a track of your calorie counts and sleep patterns.
In terms of hardware, Samsung has equipped the smartwatches with Exynos W920 SoC and paired them with 1.5GB RAM. The wearables also pack 16GB of onboard storage. The Samsung smartwatch runs the company’s new One UI Watch, which is based on Google’s Wear OS instead of the company’s Tizen OS.
