NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is expected to launch its next generation foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip at its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The tech giant is rumoured to host the next Galaxy Unpacked event in August this year where it is expected to launch the new smartphones.
Now just weeks ahead of the official launch, the price of the yet to launch foldable smartphone — Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 has surfaced online. According to tipster FrontTron, Samsung is expected to price the Galaxy Z Flip 3 at $1,249 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. If this is true, then the smartphone will be $100 cheaper as compared to the original Galaxy Z Flip which was launched at $1,349.
It is also said that the clamshell design foldable smartphone will reportedly come in four colours — Beige/White, Black, Olive Green and Purple.
Despite its cheaper price tag the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to offer various improvements over its predecessor. The foldable smartphone is expected to come with a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display and a 6.7-inch foldable display. The foldable display is said to offer 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and support 5G connectivity. The smartphone is said to sport dual rear camera and a 10MP selfie shooter. The smartphone is said to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and offer a dust and water-resistant IP rating.
