There’s never been a better time to buy Apple AirPods or new Beats headphones, here’s why

If you’ve been thinking about buying a new pair of AirPods or Beats wireless headphones for a while, there’s never been a better time to pull the trigger. Apple has confirmed that it’s dishing out a six-month subscription to its Apple Music service for free to anyone who adds a pair of these earbuds or headphones into your basket.

Apple Music includes access to 75 million tracks, curated playlists by a team of editors, music videos, and live radio shows from Zane Lowe, Elton John, and Fatboy Slim. Apple’s subscription service recently added support for Spatial Audio, which brings a wider soundscape to select headphones, and Lossless Audio.

The only catch is that you can’t already be an Apple Music subscriber – do you’re out of luck if you were hoping to drop your monthly bills for the next six months by buying a new pair of headphones. But those who haven’t used the service before can stream unlimited tracks, radio and music videos for half a year without spending a penny.

With upcoming SharePlay, which will launch to iPhone and iPad owners in the coming months, Apple will enable Apple Music users to synchronise their songs from anywhere on the planet. Combined with a FaceTime video call, you’ll be able to listen to new albums with friends and family, stream your favourite tracks, and more.
