‘Theft’ of ₹ 8.04 Lakh from Veeravasaram Police Station

Unidentified persons allegedly stole ified.47 lakh cash from Veeravasaram police station under Palakol Rural Circle border in West Godavari district. The police registered a case on Wednesday and launched an investigation.

Liquor store employees who came to the police station on Wednesday to collect cash to deposit in banks found that the money was missing.

“A head constable and a constable were on duty at the Veeravasaram police station during the last three days. We are inquiring who entered the police station, and who were on duty, ”said Mr. Veeranjan Reddy.
