The title was conferred on the Carnatic singer

Nadabrahmam United Gyan Academy (NUGA) conferred the degree on Thursday Nadha maid Karnataka singer Papanasam Ashok Ramani at an event to celebrate Mahashivaratri in the city.

Madras High Court Judge v. Sivagananam, who conferred the title, inaugurated the Nadabrahmam All-Night Music Marathon on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he said Thiruvasagam And Thevaram, Which were Tamil works on Lord Shiva, should be preserved and passed on to generations to come. The founder of Naadhabrahmam n. Mridangam Vidwan Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, who offered fame, said that Mr. Ramani’s performance was impressive and he worked hard to teach and train his students.

After the farewell, several artists including Sri Ramani, Anuradha Krishnamurthy, Sikkil Gurucharan and Malavika Sundar and Suchitra Balasubramanian (Harikatha) and Umalalur Kalyanaraman (Namaskantarthanam) issued a press release.
