The MLB, who relocated the All-Star Game from Atlanta, gets heat from the Braves’ response: ‘Nobody gives-‘

The Braves are coming under fire for their poor choice of words.

Responding to Atlanta’s 2021 All-Star Game and MLB’s decision to move the MLB draft amid Georgia’s controversial new voting rights legislation, the Braves completed with a questionable Tomahawk appointment over their statements.

The statement reads:

The Atlanta Braves are deeply disappointed by Major League Baseball’s decision to move their ‘2021 All Star Game’.

This was neither our decision, nor our recommendation and we are sad that fans will not be able to watch the event in our city. Brave organizations will continue to emphasize the importance of equal voting opportunities and we hoped that our city could use this event as a platform to raise discussion. Our city has always been known as an Anitor in divided times and we will miss the opportunity to address issues that are important to our community.

Unfortunately, businesses, employees and fans in Georgia are victims of this decision.

We will continue to support community heritage projects that are planned and in process.

FAGAN: Moving All-Star Game is a surprise move for MLB

The MLB says it discussed the decision to move the game from Atlanta to players – past and present – and for clubs to decide, ultimately realizing that the new voter law enacted in Georgia is something that the league only Cannot support.

While the Braves are trying to blame the MLB, perhaps even more intelligent discourse, “It’s their fault!” And finger gestures should be in order when discussing the controversial voter law. Twitter, unfortunately, is not a place for nuances.

In any case, others felt the same, and the tone-deaf and polite response to MLB’s Atlanta organization shifting the All-Star Game received much heat from fans, writers and more on Friday.
