A member of the 76ers was cut short by a rejection as Dwight Howard returned to the Staples Center on Thursday night.
Howard was thrown after the end of the first quarter to hit Lavers’ Montreal Harley as the team returned to their respective benches.
Contact was not an isolated incident. Howard had crowded Harbell on an inbound play in the first quarter, prompting Horrell twice to Howard. Harpel then collides with two more setbacks.
Harel was not ejected for his bash and not even given a technical one.

Sixers coach Doc Rivers was not happy to lose his center, which he considered silly.
“Joker,” he said during an interview with Reggie Miller of TNT. “People are joking. I mean, it’s ridiculous, on both sides. I didn’t like it, bottom line.”
Howard, after signing with 76ers in the offers, tweeted that he is returning to the World Champion Lakers. He and 76ers teammate Danny Green received their Lakers Championship rings before the game.
