Tension prevailed in Adigadakshtapur since morning due to the large number of police mobilizing to stop agitating farmers.
Those who objected to the closure of the road connecting Siddipet Town alleged that they would be forced to travel 20 kilometers to reach the district headquarters.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA from Dubak, M. Raghunandan Rao, who planned to travel to Etigadakshishtpur, was arrested by the police at Venkatratop and shifted to Jagdevpur police station.
The situation was tense since Thursday when the contractor closed the road connecting Siddipet and the villagers objected, saying that the court has instructed the government that until all the evacuees are shifted to the rehabilitation and resettlement colony, Until then do not cut off electricity, road and water.
The reasoning for the evictions was that they were not paid the total compensation and how the authorities could close the road and violate court orders.
Late in the night, Congress leaders chau. Srinivas Reddy and some farmers of the village were arrested and sent to the Toguta police station.
