Tata Communications Limited (TCL) on Friday formally launched the Internet of Things (IoT) network and services using a widely accepted Loravan technology protocol for industries in Sri City in Chittoor district.
TCL’s marketing head Rakesh Dodalvi said that after making a presentation on the salient features of the IoT services, various partnership models and details of offerings, the Mr City team worked closely with TCL, which conducted a detailed study and in selected areas Implemented the technology. Monitored their performance on campus and for adoption. He said that ‘smart services’ will be made possible by adopting IoT. Mr. City President (Operations) Satish Kamat said that the team has identified several pilot projects for the implementation of smart manufacturing applications.
Commenting on the development, Sri City founder and managing director Ravindra Sannareddy said that the technology would offer solutions in water metering, environmental monitoring besides controlling and tracking all associated electrical assets.
TCL IoT Chief Business Officer Rajiv Desai, Head of Technical Solutions Shailendra Dixit and Regional Head Sindhu Manikyam were present.
