Tamil Nadu Women’s Congress President R. Sudha has written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi about poor representation for women in the distribution of party tickets for the assembly elections.
In the letter, a copy of which was circulated to the media, he said that only one woman was given a party ticket, out of which 25 seats were allotted to her by the DMK.
“I am deeply saddened that there is no representation for the women cadre under your inspirational leadership, who not only demolishes the women of the Congress, but gives a wrong message to all my sisters throughout Tamil Nadu,” she said. He said that it has demolished women in Congress. On the contrary, he said that the BJP fielded three women out of the 20 seats allotted by AIADMK.
