‘Manifesto is a vision document with a time limit of 10 years, which is not a plaster for current problems’
The Makkal Nidi Maim (MNM) manifesto for the 2021 assembly election was a vision document with a 10-year deadline and was not plastered to cover the current problems, President Kamal Haasan said while releasing the document here on Friday.
“It is not a plaster to cover the current problems like state debt. This is not how others do it, by offering freebies. It is an organic, living document, ”he said, adding that it was MNM’s dream to bring the state out of debt to increase revenue and promote growth.
Washing machines and other items that political parties promised as free would increase the burden of the state, or, in other words, increase per capita debt, and meant that political parties were cheating people. . MNM, on the other hand, will skill youth, women and the unemployed to help them improve their income or get jobs, Mr. Haasan said.
Vice President of MNM V. Ponraj said, if voted to power, there will be a separate entrance examination for medical colleges, SEET on the lines of NEET. This was to protect the rights of the state, he said, adding that if this is not possible, the party will fight a legal battle with the Center.
Mr. Haasan also talked about making state-run enterprises profitable by making employees shareholders.
