Quadrantids Meteor Shower 2023 Date & Visibility in India: Know Origin, Timings and Live Stream Details To Witness The Bright Fireball Meteors

New Year 2023 will begin with a mesmerising meteor shower that is expected to be at its peak on Tuesday, January 3 and Wednesday, January 4. The astronomical event is deemed one of the best annual meteor showers, known for lightning up the dark sky with dazzling fireball meteors. The celestial occurrence is named Quadrantids Meteor Shower 2023, whose radiant point is only for a short time, just a couple of hours, before fading out. For all the astrophile, Morning Tidings has put together the visibility of the Quadrantids Meteor Shower in India, its origin, and how one can witness the wonder of space in early 2023 from the naked eye. Astronomical Events 2023 Dates: Quadrantids Meteor Shower, Wolf Moon, Hybrid Solar Eclipse – Get a Full Calendar of Major Celestial Events for Free Download Online.

    Quadrantids Meteor Shower Origin

The Quadrantids Meteor shower has a convention of producing many bright fireballs that can be visible far away from the city lights. The large bursts of light happen when more extensive dust particles meet a fiery end in the upper atmosphere. As per sources, the Quadrantids of January originated from the asteroid 2003 EH1, which takes about 5.5 years to orbit the Sun once. The celestial body may be a “dead comet” or a “rock comet”, says NASA. The source for the Quadrantids is found by Astronomer and research scientist Peter Jenniskens. Furthermore, you can catch the natural phenomenon right from your home! Quadrantids Meteor Shower 2023 Visibility

The Quadrantids Meteor Shower can range anywhere from 60 to 200 meteors per hour, with the average speed being 80 meteors per hour. Stargazers can observe the shooting fireballs in a dark place away from the blinding lights at their peak during the Full Moon or Wolf Moon night on January 3. In India, the spectacle will be observable from the desert area of Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, Jaisalmer in Rajasthan or a serene hill station such as Coorg, down south of the country in Karnataka. Moreover, astronomical lovers can take a trip to  Lonavala and Shahapur, closer to Mumbai, or Hal Aerospace Museum, Bengaluru, to watch the breathtaking scene this New Year!

  • Solar Storm To Hit Earth on THIS Date; Check Timings, Effects and Other Details Inside

Mumbai, July 18: A massive solar flare was released from our Sun last month, and it’s on the way towards the Earth! The solar storm which carries huge radiations from the Sun is expected to hit the planet around July 19, 2022 ie. tomorrow.

The solar flare had erupted from the Sun on June 14 and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) had raised an alert regarding it. Dr. Tamitha Skov, dubbed as the Space Weather Woman, predicted a direct hit from a solar storm this time. Scientists Create Room that is Hotter Than The Sun to Generate Clean Energy in Southern England; SEE PIC

    What Is Solar Storm Explained:

The Sun isn’t angry to throw fire jolts at us. It is a regular phenomena of the Universe to release heat flares in a periodic manner. The Sun which heads the solar system timely erupts huge energy emissions away from it. To the unversed, the giant fire body undergoes huge explosions which can be similar to imagining the bombardment of billions of nuclear bombs. The solar storm is a process wherein the Sun emits heat energy along magnetic charges towards the planets revolving around it.

Is Solar Storm Harmful? Check Possible Effects Of The Happening:

Solar storms can be of varied intensities, some harmful to cause radio and server blackouts while others could go unnoticed. The recent solar storm, expected within the next 24 to 48 hours, is a powerful one which may lead to blackouts.

Check Tweet by Space Weather Physicist Dr. Tamitha Skov:

NASA expects the radiations to hit Earth around July 19. It predicts to effect deep into mid-latitudes inparticular that other landscapes of the planet. Some users may be likely to witness signal disruptions when the solar storm would hit during the Earth’s nightside.

Solar Eclipse 2021: Will It Be Visible In India? From Date, Timings to Places, Everything You Need To Know About The Next Celestial Event

The  Lunar Eclipse on May 26th is garnering universal awe and attention, it’s only natural that folks around the world are quite curious about the next celestial event. Well, the good news is it’s just around the corner. Space.com reports that the next solar eclipse will be on June 10, 2021. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and as a result, casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth’s surface.

Unlike the Lunar Eclipse, Solar Eclipse will not be visible in India. The first solar eclipse will occur only a few days after the lunar eclipse. It will be a partial solar eclipse. This will appear in parts of northern Greenland,  the nearby Baffin Bay, eastern Hudson Bay and northeastern Russia will sit in the path of the “ring of fire.” This eclipse is estimated to peak at 6:41 a.m.

In India,  It will begin at 01:42 pm and will end at 06:41 pm in the country. The eclipse will also be visible in much of Asia, much of Europe, North Africa, West Africa, much of North America, the Arctic, and the Atlantic, the website time and date reports.
