    Karnataka on Wednesday registered the first COVID-19 case of South African tension.

    Vaccination

    Total immunization in Karnataka reached 11,34,295 on Wednesday. This includes 1,88,764 seniors above the age of 45 with co-morbidities and 31,962 persons who have been vaccinated on 1 March.

    On Wednesday, 41,529 seniors over the age of 45 and 7,190 people with co-morbidities responded. Cumulatively, the Bengaluru Urban recorded the highest numbers in these categories – 71,468 and 9,0398 respectively.

    A total of 4,71,219 healthcare workers and 1,70,298 frontline workers have taken the first dose of vaccination so far. 2,65,106 health workers have taken the second dose.
