  • Elon Musk Says, Twitter Started ‘Purging’ Spam and Scam Accounts, Users May See Drop in Followers’ Count

Elon Musk Says, Twitter Started ‘Purging’ Spam and Scam Accounts, Users May See Drop in Followers’ Count

San Francisco, Dec 1: Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Thursday said that the micro-blogging platform has started “purging” a lot of spam and scam accounts, so the users might see a “count drop” in their followers.

He tweeted: “Twitter is purging a lot of spam/scam accounts right now, so you may see your follower count drop.”

Several users expressed their thoughts on Musk’s action. Twitter Alert! Your Follower Count May Witness Big Dip, Here’s Why.

While one user commented, “Dude that’s like all my followers”, another said, “exactly.. but good to lose followers that were never actually followers..lol.”

Before the Twitter takeover, Musk had claimed in April this year, that he would “defeat” the “spam bots” on micro-blogging or “die trying.”

He tweeted: “If our Twitter bid succeeds, we will defeat the spam bots or die trying!”

Later on May 29, 2022, Musk raised the presence of fake/spam accounts or “bots” on Twitter, saying the micro-blogging platform has ‘very bot-friendly’ rules. Twitter Bans Around 44,611 Accounts for Promoting Child Porn, Nudity in India Post Elon Musk’s Takeover.

By that time, Twitter said less than 5 per cent of accounts on its platforms could be fake.

Musk had asked the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to probe whether the platform’s claim on the number of its user base is true.

While the micro-blogging platform said in its SEC filing that less than 5 per cent of its monetisable daily active users (mDAUs) were fake, Musk believed the number of bots was four times higher.

  • Has House of the Dragon Incest Sex Scenes Started Step-Uncle Fetish on XXX Website Pornhub.com? Everything You Need To Know About the Game of Thrones Spin-Off

Ever since the House of the Dragon spin-off from Game of Thrones has been released, the internet is ablaze with discussion over the XXX scenes. Just like Game of Thrones wouldn’t exist without some incest, some of the HOTD clips have had people’s eyebrows raised as well. The relationship between Matt Smith’s Daemon Targaryen and his niece Rhaenyra in the current series has been complicated. House of the Dragon is the talk of the town not just for the storyline but for its steamy, incest and orgy-filled XXX sex scenes. Episode 4, which was primarily about sex, the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon alluded to the main series. PornHub Is Removed by Meta-Owned Instagram, Adult Entertainment Site Official Account Had 13.1 Million Followers.

The two have grown to love one another through their shared suffering, which ended in their marriage in the most recent episode, “Driftmark.” In a recent tweet, it was claimed that Matt Smith is to blame for a “huge surge in ‘step uncle’ searches” on Pornhub. This has the internet in a tizzy. However, with a little digging, you can find out where it came from. A satirical website called The Kernel News frequently takes advantage of online usage trends. House of the Dragon Sex Scenes’ Videos Go Viral: From Matt Smith’s Nude Scene to Brothel Orgy, All the Leaked Clips Taking Over the Internet!

The replies to the “report” have been amusing anyway. It turns out that the graphic is satirical and not representational of any genuine data, although you can understand why some fans might believe the claim given the franchise’s well-established links to online porn. Pornhub’s traffic reportedly dropped during the hour when Game of Thrones was on. At the time, Pornhub was positively overflowing with clips from the nudity-filled programme, which caused HBO to sue the website.

Just recently, Pornhub.com was in the headlines after a porn star who plans on live streaming XXX content from her home around the clock for the upcoming year acknowledged that she finds it difficult to prevent her mother from viewing her XXX activities.  Pornhub.com and other XXX websites are being thrown off ever since the XXX platform OnlyFans took over. It doesn’t traditionally provide porn like Pornhub.com or xnxx.com but it is super popular amongst fans! Even celebs like Cardi B Mia, Khalifa, Bella Thorne, Tyler Posey, and Blac Chyna coming closer to fans. OnlyFans provides you with options to subscribe XXX content.

  • Russian Radio Station Owned by President Vladimir Putin’s ‘Favourite Oligarchs’ Hacked and Started Broadcasting Ukraine’s National Anthem

Moscow, June 9:  A Russian radio station which is owned by one of Vladimir Putin’s ‘favourite oligarchs’ was swiftly pulled off air after a hacker started playing Ukrainian anthem and anti-war songs, Daily Mail reported.

Kommersant FM was broadcasting their lunchtime news bulletin before suddenly being cut off by the Ukrainian military anthem ‘Oh the red viburnum in the meadow’. Russia and Belarus Can Vote in FIDE Elections

The radio station, which is another string of the Kommersant national newspaper in Russia, is owned by 68-year-old Russian businessman and oligarch Alisher Usmanov, Daily Mail reported.

The European Union sanctioned Usmanov following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February by imposing an EU-wide travel ban on him and freezing all of his assets. The US imposed similar sanctions.

Described as a pro-Kremlin oligarch who has ‘particularly close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin’ and one of ‘Putin’s favourite oligarchs’ by the Official Journal of the European Union, the hacking of his radio station is the latest in a string of Ukrainian stunts on Russian media.

Usmanov, who was a shareholder in English football team Arsenal from 2017 to 2018, is also the fifth richest person in Russia and among the world’s wealthiest 100 individuals with an estimated net worth of $19.5 billion, Daily Mail reported.

Editor-in-chief of Kommersant FM, Alexey Vorobyov, said of the radio station going off air: “We really were hacked. Technical specialists are now finding out the origin of this attack, trying to do something with the internet stream.”

‘Raam’ Is Not a Currency Used in Holland! Know All About the Bearer Bond Started by Maharishi Cult in the Dutch Country

Mumbai, August 4: Twitter is flooded with posts that claim a currency called “Raam” is being used as legal tender in Holland or Netherlands. Such posts also claimed “Raam” is the most expensive currency in the world. However, the fact is “Raam” is not a currency but a bearer bond. Launched in 2001 by Global Country of World Peace (GCWP), “Raam” has been used as a medium of exchange within a closed group of stakeholders in some parts of the United States and Netherlands. Rs 500 Note in Which Green Stripe Is Not Near RBI Governor’s Signature Should Not Be Taken? PIB Fact Check Reveals Truth Behind Fake Post.

The Global Country of World Peace, set up by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, launched “Raam” in October 2001. Headquartered in Maharishi Vedic City in US state of Iowa, the GCWP is a non-profit organisation. The Maharishi Vedic City described “Raam” as “the ideal local currency to support economic development in the city and development of local businesses and organisations wishing to accept that currency”. Rs 1,000 Currency Note to be Rescinded Into Cash Circulation? PIB Fact Check Trashes Rumour, Says No Such Move Planned by RBI.

“Raam”, also known as Raam Peace Bond, is equal to ten Euros and it becomes ten Dollars in the US. The claim that it is the most expensive “currency” is based on this fact. Since one Euro equals Rs 88.09 (as on August 4, 2021), one “Raam” is thus worth Rs 880.9, thus making it more expensive than other currencies.

    Old Tweet on “Raam Currency”:

But “Raam” is not a national currency of any country or a legal tender issued by any bank. It is in fact a bearer bond. The basic difference between a currency and a bearer bond is that the latter bears interest. “Raam” bears 0.6 simple interest annually. “Raam” carried a picture of Lord Ram and is available in three denominations, 1, 5 and 10.

According to a BBC report, a spokesperson of the Dutch Central Bank described “Raam” as legal, adding: “The raam can be used as long as the notes are not used as legal tender and it stays within a closed-off circuit of users.” In Netherlands, “Raam” was being accepted in more than 100 Dutch shops, some of them part of big department store chains, in 30 villages and cities as of 2003. In the United States, “Raam” bonds were accepted in 35 states as of 2003. “Raam” was never a legal national currency in Holland or America.

  • Explained: Google Kannada ‘Queen Of All Languages’ Controversy; How an Algorithm Glitch Started the ‘Ugliest Language’ Row On Twitter

Explained: Google Kannada ‘Queen Of All Languages’ Controversy; How an Algorithm Glitch Started the ‘Ugliest Language’ Row On Twitter

In case you’ve been living in a news-free bubble, the Google Kannada language controversy is currently the talk of the town. A mistake, rage and an apology later, we are still quite obsessed about what went wrong. Here’s a quick low-down on the controversy and what might have led to Google’s oversight. Yesterday, Twitterati erupted with several Kannadigas, including political representatives and activists taking offence over how the Google search engine depicted the Kannada language as ‘ugliest language in India. However, it should be noted that the same search engine also called it ‘Queen of languages in the world.’ What followed was copious tweets and retweets asking google to rectify the offence and issue an apology.

The tweet that basically started it all

    It reaches higher powers

“This is a very condemnable thing. If Google or anyone else behaves in contempt of Kannada language or insults Kannada, appropriate action will be taken against them,” said Karnataka’s Minister for Forest, Kannada and Culture Arvind Limbawali.

After facing falk from several political fronts, with H D Kumaraswamy expressing his indignation against Google in a series of tweets, sought to know why Google “behaves in an irresponsible manner.”

BJP’s Bengaluru Central MP, P C Mohan slammed Google and asked it to apologise.

The tweets spread like wildfire and google was quick to note, rectify the issue and promptly issue an apology. The apology which was also put out in Kannada “Search isn’t always perfect. Sometimes, the way content is described on the Internet can yield surprising results to specific queries. We know this is not ideal, but we take swift corrective action when we are made aware of an issue and are continually working to improve our algorithms. Naturally, these are not reflective of the opinions of Google, and we apologize for the misunderstanding and hurting any sentiments.”

So how did google get into trouble?

Google search engine is algorithm-based and these algorithms scale through copious keywords from websites and their online content. Search engine Optimization or SEO at work. When you type in a word on the search engine, the algorithm goes to work, scouring the websites where the words are frequently used and viewed by other users. They then provide the result depending on the articles which have related keywords. While the search engine might not be solely to blame for the faux-pas, the people who’ve previously exhibited those views on their websites are mostly culpable of the offence.

Apple iPhone 13 Series 120Hz ProMotion Display Production Started by Samsung & LG: Report

Seoul: South Korean tech giants Samsung Display and LG Display have reportedly started producing OLED panels for the “iPhone 13”, with Samsung said to be creating 120Hz ProMotion displays for the Pro models. Samsung Display and LG Display are returning as display panel producers for the “iPhone 13,” and have started production of the needed OLED panels, Apple Insider citing The Elec reported.

The timing is approximately one month earlier than Apple’s production schedules for the iPhone 12, though schedules at that time were delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sources of the report claim that Samsung commenced production halfway through May, while LG started its manufacturing of the components later in the month.

Of the displays, Samsung is said to be the only supplier of low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistor (TFT) OLED panels to Apple. Rumoured to be used in the Pro models, the LPTO displays will support 120Hz refresh rates, enabling the long-rumored ProMotion feature.

For the non-Pro models, Apple will continue to use low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) TFT OLED panels, supplied by LG Display. In terms of shipment numbers, Samsung is thought to be producing 80 million units of display for the new iPhone, with between 120 million and 130 million total OLED panels anticipated to ship to Apple in 2021. For LG, it is aiming for 30 million units for the “iPhone 13” and a total of 50 million overall for the year.
