    Mumbai, November 16: YouTube ads have been talked over by news media and users since the platform announced that it would rid the ad blockers to watch videos on the platform. However, YouTube reportedly showed the advertisement of ad blockers on its videos, which it announced to block on its videos. The new reports said that the platform started showing pornographic ad on its videos. 

    The reports said that the information about this was published on Reddit by users saying that the platform showed a video of the “pet meet-up” app on YouTube Shorts. In the background, the users reportedly heard the “porn playing with full audio”.     Google-Owned YouTube Showing Pornographic Ads: 

    According to an Android Authority report, a Reddit user going by the name “u/vertuchi02” had captured a video of the pornographic and shared the link. The information further shared the video link of the porn ad playing on YouTube. Here is the link to the Reddit Thread showing the “PetMeet” ad. Android Authority warned the viewers that the video was “incredibly NSFW” and “includes audio”.     According to another report from Cord Cutter News, People also took the complaint of this YouTube ad over X platform and shared their posts. The report said it is “unknown” if they were paid ads or YouTube was promoting them. YouTube has recently said it would act against users using various ad blockers to watch videos on the platform. The platform has tried eliminating the ad-blocker usage to promote its premium subscription services.

    Google Responds To Android Authority Over Porn Ad:

    Android Authority shared an update on November 16, 2023 (today) at 12:46 AM ET) saying, “Google has emailed us an official statement regarding the issue of the porn video ad doing the rounds on YouTube.”. The post further shared the official statement from Google, “We don’t allow ads on our platform that contain sexually explicit content. We’ve removed the ad in question and have taken action against the associated account consistent with our policies”.

    San Francisco, November 15: Amazon has reached a deal with Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, to allow users to buy its products directly from the advertisements shown on the social app. The Amazon ads on Snapchat will show real-time pricing, delivery estimates, product details and Prime eligibility, reports TechCrunch.

    The news was first reported by The Information. Customers have the option to link their Snapchat account with their Amazon account as a one-time setup.     According to the company, in-app shopping with Amazon is available for select products advertised on Snapchat and sold by the company or by independent sellers in Amazon’s store.     New Delhi, Nov 25: Elon Musk is still in the firing mode at Twitter amid the Thanksgiving festivities, as several coders who were brought back after a massive lay off as part of “knowledge transition”, are being shown the door again in the name of “code review”.

    “Ihara fought relentlessly for 280 in the face of strong scepticism from top executives. He co-authored the blog post explaining the value of 280 characters when it launched,” Newton said.

    Tech writer Gergely Orosz said that the night before Thanksgiving, Twitter fired more software engineers effective immediately because their “code is not satisfactory” following the recent code review.

    “Dozens of other developers for performance warnings in their inboxes,” Orosz tweeted.

    “The stories get wilder. I cannot emphasise how these are real people in tech. And yet, Musk and management at Twitter treat them like cattle.     A Twitter employee said that he was laid off from Twitter in early November and was told “I will receive 3 months of pay as severance.”

Last night, I was abruptly fired without any reason and was offered 4 weeks’ severance for signing release of claims agreement. Any employment lawyers, please DM me if you can help. I am on H1B and only have 60 days to find a new job during the holidays,” the employee posted on Twitter.

    After sacking about 50 per cent of its workforce, Musk also fired employees who criticised his actions either on Twitter or on internal messaging platform Slack and some were sacked just for retweeting posts slamming the new Twitter CEO.

    Underlining that India has always worked for global peace and tranquility, Mr. Birla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has clearly stated its policy against global terrorism and expansionism.
